Jason A. Oliver, Ph.D. Junior Scholar


Jason Oliver is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine, a Member of the Duke Cancer Institute, and a faculty affiliate of the Duke Brain Imaging and Analysis Center. He received a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Buffalo and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Florida. He completed his predoctoral internship in the Forensic Drug Diversion Clinic at Yale University School of Medicine and a postdoctoral fellowship in addiction neuroscience at Duke University School of Medicine. His primary research interest is in the development of novel pharmacological and behavioral interventions for smoking cessation and other addictions using a translational neuroscience approach. In addition to his research work, he maintains a clinical practice through the Duke Cognitive Behavioral Research and Treatment Program.
