Biography

Laurie McCormick, MD is an assistant professor within the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She is board certified in psychiatry and family medicine and completed her combined residency training in both of these areas at the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa in 2003. She completed a 2-year fellowship in neuroimaging, cognitive neuroscience and clinical neurobiology and stayed on as a research faculty member. Her clinical areas of interest are eating disorders, major depression and psychotic disorders. She is the co-director of ECT services and serves as a member of the institutional review board at her institution.
